March 7, 2010: A tanker truck hauling liquid asphalt was traveling north on Rt. 97 when it failed to negotiate the curve at the junction with Rt. 19 South of town. The tanker rolled on its side, spilled a small amount of material, and sheared off a power line pole. The incident lasted 13 1/2 hours.
