We are always looking for volunteers
We always accept applications for review. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, come down to the station on a Wednesday evening. You can take a look around, ask questions, and fill out an application.
Application procedure
Once you fill out your application, it will be reviewed and voted on during our monthly business meeting. Business meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month. New applicants are encouraged to come to the meeting to say a few words about themselves. This allows the Company to meet you and learn a little about you before voting on your application. A twenty (20) dollar application fee should be paid at the time of submission, and covers the cost of a background check.
Once the Company votes to accept your application, a month "get to know you" period shall pass before the Company will vote you in, or out, of the Department. During this month you are encouraged to attend Wednesday drills. Your attendance will show us that you are serious about joining and will also let us get to know you. In addition, it will give you the applicant the chance to ask questions, get to know the Company, and begin to understand what exactly it is that we do.
