The coold winds of winter mean many of us will be lighting the furnace and stoking the fireplace. It’s a good idea to have your furnace cleaned of spider webs, dust, and anything else that may ignite with the high temperatures produced. Keep flammable things away from furnaces and other heating devices. Keeping a stack of newspapers next to the fireplace may be convenient, but an errant spark on that stack could be disastrous. Having your chimney cleaned is also an inexpensive way to make sure the cold season outside is a warm, cozy, and safe season inside.
